Currently got Michelin PR2's front & back how ever the fronts almost down to the limit, but still plenty to go on the back yet, fancy trying out a PR3 on the front to go with the PR2 on the back as there supposed to be better in the wet, doable do you reckon?.

Never mix on the same axles and the best grip for braking should be at the front unless you want to swap ends unexpectedly :)

I imagine he's thinking this is a car question where you could switch the tyres around which obviously isn't possible on a bike.

I think people are confusing a bike with a car... the tyre width differs on the bike (front & rear)

Running different tyres on each axle can change the balance of the car, particularly in colder weather. Most people don't drive anywhere near the limit of adhesion so in reality it doesn't really matter.

What does that got to do with a bike? He's clearly asking about bike tyres in 'Biker's Cafe' lol... :o

Well in this part of motors we don't ride like grannys and therefore may well get close to all a tyre can give :p

Stupid me did miss the bike thread bit :)

One of the few things I'd change on the forum is a filtered NEW thread listing as there's so many sub cats on here.
