What great drivers cars they were,rear wheel drive and all that.i used to own a
1977 RS2000 which was based on the two door MKII Escort.
It had a 2 litre in-line four SOHC engine.
The gearbox was bolted to the rear of the engine.
Power was then fed to the diff by a prop shaft then onto the rear wheels.ahhh those were the days when you could get insured on almost anything!
nothing like powersliding on opposite lock in the wet
unlike todays boy racers we had real cars!!
not small 1 litres paying 1500 a year in insurance!
