Mk2 Rs2000 lookalike.

Hi, I have recently seen an image of a car with the nose very similar to the Mk2 Escort Rs2000 but have been unable to find out what it is. There is an insignia on the wing that might begin with ' C ', any ideas?.

I can only see the front driver's side wing and door, bonnet, windscreen and grill. The badge in the middle of the grill is vertical piece of chromed metal about 80mm x 20mm. The wing mirrors are round black ones located near the front of the wing. There are 2 fog lamps also, like the mk1 Xr2.

The car is in a youtube video. The description is ' A Barn Full of Amazing Cars, Including George Michael's XR3i, Lotus Carlton, Mercedes 190 Evo ', and posted by Adam Smith. It appears 7 mins in, between a Golf and a BMW.

I just put it through Google lens - it sits in the top right corner of chrome on my phone and you can select anything on the page. It identified it within seconds!

I wasn't, but I'm recovering thanks to Penfold. I've never been stumped to identify a car before. What I thought was a badge on the grille, is a customised piece, so it threw me.

My Samsung doesn't seem to have Google lens, it is marvellous!.
