Anyone know where the fuse for the stereo is. Someone I work with believes it is shorting out and causing the battery to flatten. Also if the fuse is on theback of the stereo anyone know how to remove it?

I *think* there is a 10a on the back of the stereo, but there is also one that controls the stereo and display in the main fuse rig. Drivers side dash near bonnet release i think.

Isn't a fuse / HU shorting out by definition it breaking / blowing the fuse such that no power can pass through it, so unless the air gap between the wires is conducting electricity...

I don't recall seeing a fuse on the back of my friends astra HU i think its in the fuse box.

Do you know the fuse number?

Literally off the top of my head either 8, 18 or 22, but could be any number around in between or above.

For some reason though, these numbers are at the front of my skull.

Most factory units do have a 10a fuse attached to the back. Aftermarket units have the fuse inline in the loom (pionner, alpine, etc).

However, these are the last fuses to take the knock. The main board ones blow first (usually)
