Mk3 Mondeo subframe bushes

I've noticed that on the past MOT's an advisory has been issued for the rear subframe bushes.
Now this sparked off a memory from reading on here that this is a big job, involving the subframe removal.

Has anyone got any estimate of costs should this be picked up as a fail at the next MOT due at the end of november?

Forewarned is forearmed as they say.

I fitted some Powerflex bushes to my Mk3 rear subframe in about an hour. You don't need to remove the subframe just drop one side at once down and fit them. I dont remember it being that hard to do. I used a small bottle jack, a socket extension bar and a upside down socket to push them in. The bushes were about £70 for the set from ebay.
 
Phew! That's good to hear. Looks like a job I'll do ahead of the MOT to save aggro.

It used to be a case of a new subframe until manufacturers (inc. Ford) started to produce the bushes on their own.
