Mk4 astra speaker ?

I have a mk4 astra and want to change the factory fitted speakers for some new ones. I have seen these ones and was wondering if anyone knows if they would just fit in - no cutting or adapters

IIRC, standard MK4 speakers (in the fronts) were 6.5" so yes they'll fit, but unfortunately you MUST use an adapter to fit them as the standard GM units have spacers which you cant swap over.

Autoleads do the adapters for £5 IIRC

Do you know if i can get the adapter from halfords and do you know if the tweeters will just fit in?

Tweeters should go in fine where the standard ones go, both sets that i've had in my astra did. The adapter can be bought from them but you will probably find it cheaper elsewhere, the same goes for the speakers.

so what are the standard factory fitted speaker sizes? 165mm?
