Hi folks, picked up a reflex silver gti in dec with 31000 on the clock, came fitted with std 16" alloys and an ms designs body kit that i was never keen on.

I have replaced the rims with 18" BBS CHs, changed suspension for koni shocks and eibach springs and taken off front and rear ms design valances for v6 ones, side skirts have to go too but are bonded on so i need the help of an expert me thinks,

I have also had a chipped Uk remap (putting down circa 210bhp now). Plans are to get tail pipes sorted for rear valance, fixed the handling which is torque steering everywhere!, get decent matts and maybe alu interior trim and thats it :)

anyway scuse the piccies, taken on my N70,

I agree with everything you've done to the car making it look better. The wheels look great.

However I dont really understand why. Couldn't you of just got one without the bodykit in the first place. If you have to get a pro to remove the skirts, plus the cost of the new bumpers, its gotta add up. Or did you get a really good price for it?

i bought it from a garage in dec so i got it for the same price as similar private examples sold for, but i have a 12mth warranty, i also wanted the leather recaros which are rare in ireland (an expensive option and we pay 25% more than ye guys for everything in our cars!) which this car had and none of the others i looked at had and finally it has only done 35000 miles to date, 2500 of which i have put up :)

re changing the bumpers i did front and rear myself, it is only the lower spoiler to change and replacements from vw were £80 and i fitted myself

skirts shouldnt cost a lot to get taken off?

oh and i had been 3 weeks without a car so i just said sod it, it all stacks up just a lil more work :)

That looks really neat, hope you enjoy driving it :)

They look great in silver, especially with those alloys. Tasteful modifications for once, whatever next :p

LOL thats the look im going for

car cost me €14,250 (thats euros) its a 01 and yes cars are more expensive in Ireland, that was a pretty good price, considering warranty etc
