MKV playback with AC3/Dolby digital on ipad

Installed molipalyer and although it streams from my server over wifi flawlessly with my ipad the sound don't work. :mad:

How can I stream TV shows to my ipad from my server that have AC3/Dolby digital sound tracks?

All I want to do is watch game of thrones and the like while on my treadmill...

Both of them require an install of the server.exe on the server tho

That's correct, but you'll need that to transcode the audio into something that the iPad can decode.

There's not many players that have both codecs due to the licensing cost. I believe AVPlayerHD supports AC3 audio but not Dolby Digital. CineXplayer HD might support Dolby Digital but I don't think allows network streaming.

AirVideo used to offer a free trial, if they do give it a try and see if it meets your requirements.
