MKV Question

MKV is a container and can use video files encoded in a variey of different codecs.

What CPU and GPU you need depends on the codecs used and the bitrate and resolution of the video.

If you are talking about 1080p h.264, then a modern video card (like a GT 220 or HD 5450) should be able to decode the video. You can then couple it with virtually any x86 CPU (even an Intel Atom) and the video will play flawlessly - since the video is being fully decoded by the graphics card.

What he said ^^ , I run 10gb MKVs on my laptop n runs ok... If you ever want to convert the file to avi or something you can use mkv2vob
