, apparently i got a dead pixel on my 9 months old screen, sad but have to live with it, wondered if i could claim the warranty?

You'd have to check for your particular monitor what the pixel warranty is but most will allow a certain number of pixel faults before the monitor is considered "faulty".
Ask Samsung if you want to know for certain.
How do you know it's dead? I've had one (black) or a cluster around one for many years now on my Dell 2405. It's nearly gone after several hours working with the Undead pixel app and massaging it in stages. Pesky little thing.
