You'd have to check for your particular monitor what the pixel warranty is but most will allow a certain number of pixel faults before the monitor is considered "faulty".
How do you know it's dead? I've had one (black) or a cluster around one for many years now on my Dell 2405. It's nearly gone after several hours working with the Undead pixel app and massaging it in stages. Pesky little thing.
