Just been reading about AV connections and the setup options on my new Tosh WLT66.

i thought there were more differences between the WL and the WLT than just the tuner.

I've got sky so don't need the tuner. Think i'll return the WLT and order the WL instead.

DOH!!!!

why? what were the differences?

I think the only differences between the WL66 & WLT66 is the tuner and the colour of the TV..(WL66 is silver & WLT66 is dark grey or black)

Must people seem to like the WLT colour much better then the WL66 colour.

Is it an analogue or digital tuner.

If digital stick with it, your Sky may develop a fault and you would then be without TV. Think of the tuner as back up :)

the panels are different

the WLT is rated at 1200:1 contrast ratio

WL is only rated at 1000:1

so there is more difference than just the tuner.

forgot about this thread....

I've since returned the Tosh.....wasn't overly happy with the performance.

I've got a Sony KDL-32V2000 on the way.....hoping that will be better.

What part of the performance on the toshiba did you not like...

And please let us know of what you think of the sony compared to the toshiba.

Cheers.

I just had a lot of niggles about it. The back ground noise was quiet bad (i know its bradcast dependant) and the picture sometimes appeared blocky.

I started to hear about lots of problems arising with them too.

When i saw the review of the sony i went for that instead. (GF originally wanted the old V series but that one was cack)

Got the sony home today after picking it up from bristol....

am so happy with it already. The picture is smooth as apposed to the blocky nature of the Tosh.

i know a lot of it is to do with signal stregnth and quality....but this sony is leaps ahead of the tosh. It still has the odd issue with fast motion but better than any pther LCD i've seen.

The colours are much more vibrant too and the black levels are better.

all in all.....£300 more, but well worth it!

Also, if ordering Sky HD, you get £100 cashback if ordered before 10th july so i can sell the free DVD recored for another £100.

BARGAIN! :D

What DVD recorder did you get with it?

Glad you are now happy with your purchase.

only a cheap one....GX120 i think (no HD). They are £140-£170 in most places.

I'm probably going to go with the Sky HD option.

Been watching more on it tonight from sports to old/new films on the movie channels......more i watch the more i'm glad i changed it.

I know it's £300 more, but i've got a picture im happy with now.

Just got to get the cash together for the Surround sound setup i want....will be another £2000+
