Just had my first vindaloo because we usually only get tikka masala and green thai curry.

My verdict: "This is good ****" as said by Ali G.

I didn't cry :L

Gonna have this more often, anyone else like vindaloo?

Not a fan, usually lacks any taste.
However local place does a curry called moricha, which is hotter but has a great taste. Even though I cry I can't help but go back. But then they say chilli is addictive and releases huge amounts of endorphins.

Ive only personally gone as hard as a madras. Although, I would try one if the occasion arose where someone else had one. Phal is the hottest, go for that challenge.

I don't think I've ever tried a Vindaloo actually, may try one tonight.

Gunni Parker, is your sig a screenie from Canon Fodder??

It certainly warms you up :) half an hour later I can't feel the burn anymore. But if it's reputation is to stay in tact I'm sure I shall be reminded of it the next time I visit a toilet.

Was thinking about a curry tonight, now I see this thread, it's a sign I tell you! A SIGN!

I like Vindaloo done proper, with potatos etc. Hot meat starter and a hot curry always results in a lot of bog time notched up the next day.

I think I'll avoid the Vindaloo in that case, I have a 40th birthday to attend tomorrow and I don't want to be making regular disappearances ;)

My favouritist grub in the punyverse is Prawn Vindaloo -- but whilst my mouth can take it, my arse can't; although the next mornings stomach cramps and eventual pebble dashing of the toilet is all part of the experience imo.

I do like spicy food now and again, years ago my Dad bought us Vindaloo, it was hot but it didn't really taste of much if that makes sense? kind of put me off trying it again.

I tend to go for one of the chefs specials from wherever I order from, I do like a madras, but normally a nice medium tikka bhuna is what I order, Im also addicted to onion bhaji's, but my god, my farts reek the next day, makes my wife sick lol

They're incredibly variable. My local's Madras is *much* spicier than their Vindaloo and it has so much more yummy taste. Mmmmm...
