athlon ii x2 @ 2GHz
3gb ram
ati mobility hd4200
and play on 1600x900
thanks

i think lotr has gone free to play for a fair portion of the game (late game stuff still needs a subiirc)

Silkroad online. It's a decent grind fest, point and click then spam 1 2 3 4. Course it has micro transactions so it takes a long time of collecting 10 of this and killing 20 of that to level, unless you buy special items. Still fun to kick around in though to get your feet wet.

i find grinding boring i played shaiya with a friend,i only play it coz he helped me with power leveling lol

Global Agenda is a mmo third person shooter (think gears of war)

It has a one time fee for which you get the full game plus the sandstorm expansion, no monthly fees.

You will need to pay for new expansions but you can still play without them on the old content.

Actual gameplay is similar to team fortress 2, the sandstorm content is a outdoors world where you can do quests like other traditional mmo's. TBH this part of the game is a bit tedious and unchallenging, the quests can all be done solo and can be finished in 2 days by the competent gamer.

There is a free trial where you are restricted to level 12, so why not try it?

what the ****?!
i just searched mortal on google images and theres like 5 or 6 pictures of naked in-game characters :D
thanks for the suggestion guys eep them coming
ill have a look at the suggested games

I played that game for a long time =/ it's full of bots which suck. Only way to play it was to buy premium or wait 4 hours to log in.

Thing is SRO is so beautiful and I love the combat system, just a shame that it's dominated by bots.

Runes of Magic is one of the better F2P MMORPG's but it's a bit of a WoW clone to say the least. It does have an interesting dual class system though, that makes it quite unique.

Another popular one is Perfect World International. Again, very popular with a high player base. Like Aion you can fly but pretty much from the start of the game though. There's combat and quests in the air too. It's a bit of a buggy game though, and like most has a few bots.

Other good ones to try are DDO, Everquest 2 and Allods Online.

Darkfall Online and Mortal Online

but they're grindtastic, Darkfall is the best on the market atm if you're looking for FPS MMO's

neither is an MMOFPS though is it, while i think darkfall is a truely brilliant game, it is not an MMOFPS, is not free and is not for the feint hearted

Guild Wars.

Very little mandatory grind, can be picked up cheaply for all 3 chapters+expansion, is free to play for as long as you like and a great combat system in PvE and PvP

It is MMO FPS, ahh not free.

OP's Options

Dungeons and Dragons unlimited
Lord of the rings online
Allods Online
Runes of Magic

not any free mmofps games to my knowledge, most are not even worth the time and effort (excluding GW)
