I've had my MMX300 since Xmas, but recently noticed the left driver rattles in bassy scenarios. Hard to hear with gunfire, as the amount of sound obscures it.

However, in cut scenes or movies with bassy scenes, it's quite audible. Now, Polar Audio, who are the UK supplier for replacement parts etc, are trying to charge me to return them.

Here's my issue: I had a pair of Custom One Pros, which had the exact same issue, and ended up going through 3 repairs before I just sold them.

I like my audio loud, but not to the point it hurts my ears, or even close.

After a quick search, it seems to be a common issue with Beyer products, so I feel a little annoyed paying 10 quid to return them knowing they'll likely develop the same fault.

Has anyone else had experience with something similar?

I had the same issue with my DT990 headphones. It seems to be a common issue with Beyerdynamic headphones as you've found and is usually caused by some very fine hairs on the driver, but luckily they're incredibly simple to disassemble and it was a ten minute fix with good light and steady hands.

I've read that that's the case, but in the numerous times I've taken mine apart, I've never found a hair causing the issue :(
