Anyone been following the Zurich european track and field championship? It's been pretty good so far. Last night, Jo Pavey won gold for Great Britain in the 10K, and she's the oldest athlete ever to do it at 40 years old, a busy mum with 2 kids. Pretty amazing run on the last lap.

Mo Farah is the big draw tonight, on within the next hour around 7.15pm/7.30pm for anyone interested.
 
Yep, and silver for the other brit!

Blimey, dutch white girl gets gold in the 100m. Hope that doesn't sound racist but let's face it, that's rare for sprinters.

Men's 100m final in a bit. Dwayne Chambers, James Dasaolu and Harry Aryeetey for Great Britain, and Lemaitre and Vicaut for France. I think Vicaut or Aryeetey will get it, having seen the heats and semis. Bolt turned up to spectate.
 
Vicaut is out. He didn't run his semi.

Vernon silver medal in the 10,000 was EPIC! Such an amazing run.

White girl winning in EURO champs is not that mental, no Americans or Jamaicans so it's nothing absurd as it would seem on the world stage. She is fantastic though, pretty sure she ran 2x Dutch NR's at the Diamond League in Glasgow over the 100/200m. Very impressive and a thoroughly deserved gold in that 100m.
 
Ah, you're right. I saw Vicaut yesterday, not today. Actually, Dasaolu got a 10:04 today, the fastest time so far in this competition, so now I'm thinking it could be him to take gold if he gets the perfect start.

Yes I agree, but he is Mr Inconsistent but has come back to form nice here it seems. Definitely the man to beat in this final. Lemaitre would have been a great shout for this but he has had a bad season never finding form of last few so will see how he goes here. I can see 2 GB medals here and that doesn't include this lane 8 muppet.... :cool:

Cannot tolerate that man and the way he acts even beyond the obvious reasons why I can't tolerate him. 2 GB guys get medals and they interview him.... :rolleyes:

That Portugese guy should have been gone by the way. I've never seen such a blatant false start not get called. He was 100% confident it was him and was going, he couldn't believe it as much as any of us!
