Guys - so i attempted to build my first loop some weeks ago!

I had completely killed my gtx 470!

Now, I ordered a GTX 560 TI and some mosfet blocks too!

So here is my final build! leak testing atm! needing another bottle of coolant! it's already taken 2 litres!

Here's a video to the build at leak testing stage!

So, the build is:

Rampage II Extreme
i7 920 @ 4.2GHz 1.3V
12GB Dominator RAM @ 1600MHz 1.65V
EVGA GTX 560 TI @ 900MHz
x5 OCZ Vertex 2 SSD's
Hiper 880W PSU

All EK blocks - (CPU, RAM, Motherboard, x2 MOSFET, GFX Card)
Tubing is Masterclear 1/2"
Fittings are Generic Black Nickel
XSPC Laing D5 Pump/Bay Res
Radiator is MO-RA 3 9x140

Running all completely passive!
temps are about 27 idle & 65 max load

think he means the input and output are coming out the bottom

I honestly think WC gets messy when you start cooling ram and mosfets etc etc unless you start looking at bigger cases.

Are you running the rad passive as i didn't see any fans

oh, the compressions fittings would on fit on the bottom....

i had no choice but to water-cool everything. my pc is in a music studio where noise should be kept to a minimum.

the rad is passive. no noise!

I'm going the same way in using the same stupid big rad, bought it a decent while ago though, just had a lot of work to do on comp and always not far from a deadline has put me off taking it all apart for a while :(

Really don't get watercooling inside a case. Firstly I want as much of the water as possible outside of the case, second, I want the BEST cooling possible, IE case heat not part of the equation. Thirdly outside the case I can do all kinds of crazy crap, HUGE rad or my old setup was a bunch of rad's that gave me awesome silent cooling on a heavily overclocked setup.

This time around I'm going to stick the 9x120mm rad inside the fireplace(has chimney, non working fireplace though ;) then build a vented but hopefully as sound proof as possible cover for the fireplace and have the pump/rad/fans all essentially removed from the room. It will also, with a nice seal push all the hot air from comp straight up the chimney rather than into the room. So many things you can do if you cool outside the case. :)

Very very nice. Well done!

Sure but the mosfet and RAM cooling you can achieve with super low RPM fans at around 5db (not audible)

Also noise dampening the case

How are you dealing with the pump noise?

i've actually got another question - i filled up the loop with 2 litres of EK blood Red Coolant which isn't enough to fill the loop..... now instead of buying and waiting for another litre of it, can i just add distilled water/de-ionized to the premixed EK coolant already in the system? or will that mess it all up?

Should be ok - but I've always been told not to mix liquids!

I would be tempted to either buy a new batch or grab some de-ionized/distilled water from your local halfords :) [add some biocide to that) or add a watercooling kill coil]

Yeah, I meant why didn't you link from the top of the gfx card...

Fair play straight comp fittings don't fit, but why not some 45* fittings?

ahh it was my first time watercooling ever, so i wanted to keep it relatively simple.

everythings cool...

i may start puttign some fans on the mo-ra...but how can i do this with the radiatror away from the case? how do i power them with no molex connector available?

also, on th erampage II extreme - is it possible that no cooling to the QPI/DRAM card on the motherboard is causing the system to freeze upon stress tests?

buy a cheapy psu (you can get ones for less than 40 quid) and rig a switch between a black wire & the green one on the 24 pin connector.

plug all fans into a molex, or fan controller etc. make a nice little box for it too ;)
