Just came in the mail.....i really love it...sound quality is excellent and it's pretty loud. My only gripe is the menu system...it takes some getting used to as there basically isn't one! I like it a lot though as windows recognizes it as a universal mass storage device so I can use it as a pendrive for school as well. :)

The headphones are decent but they really lack the deeper bass...judging from sound I would say there's a dramatic fall off around 60-80hz.

Can anyone recommend some replacement headphones? I've never purchased any earbuds before....I have experience with Sennheiser but only their DJ full ear cover phones.

Something affordable...I've heard sony make great earbuds.

btw i'd just like to say thanks OCuK...this is my third purchase from you and they've all been great experiences. First time there was a shipping mistake but it was promptly and politely sorted...and this time I accidentally ordered the player in silver when I wanted black and my order was changed quickly with great communication. It's nice when you can tell someone is actually responding at the other end rather than just selecting prewritten responses.

what's affordable? £30? £60? sony make cheap earphones, but they arent that good (ex71).

the only earphones you should be considering are the Senn cx300/ Creative ep630's, or the more expensive sony ex91 (~£50-55). They will give you the best bang for buck at their price points. There's absolutely no reason to concider other earphones:)
