hi guys
i have been looking at these for ages and i was very tempted. I was in two minds wether or not to get one however we had a new manager start with us who worked for vodafone before he started with us and he has let me borrow the one they gave him and im using it now.
Its a great piece of kit, its a simple usb modem that just plugs into your laptop or desktop and it installs the software needed and justs connects to the 3G network. It is currently connected at 3.6mbps which is almost 2mbps faster than what my own hard wired connection is.
Have a look at what vodafone are offering http://shop.vodafone.co.uk/index.cfm?go=dataproducts.usbmodem&planDuration=30&INT-PSHOP-211107-USBModem-BuyNow
all contracts only have a 3GB allowance however they have not started charging for over usage they will just limit your download speed.
Have a look at what three are offering http://threestore.three.co.uk/broadband/
I think three have the best offer with 3GB allowance for £15 a month on an 18 month contract.
Depending on where you live you can get great broadband speeds and also vodafone have released a 7.2 modem which gives 7.2mbps.
I just wanted to let you all know what i thought of this guys and i am going to go for the three one that i mentioned above.
One thing i was wondering was if you could share the connection with multiple computers and the answer is yes draytek have released a router that the modem just plugs into and you can use it wirelessly. I believe it is the draytek 2910, i think i would have to get this aswell.
