Mobile and dock for landline replacement?

I am ditching the landline and require a mobile phone with a dock to sit in the corner of the lounge.

It just needs to be able to make and receive calls and have a dock, that is it. The phone will not be taken away from the home. The number will be given out as a "Home" contact number.

Any suggestions.

I have been looking at VOIP providers we well, Vonage want £15 for unlimited calls. I can go PAYG for that with much less hassle.

have just binned my landline i'm looking at sipgate it's free to register they do call packages or PAYG i could do with a spare line just for incoming calls. cant see much info about this company online though,

but apparently with a voip adaptor you can plug in a normal house phone to your router any one knows?
