Basically i got the new mbA yesterday, now i do a lot of travelling so need mobile broadband. Went into phones4u today to try get a dongle. Lady said to me they dont work on Macs and that i would have to go with MIFI? Its a box that you carry around with you and you can connect up to 10 devices to it on the move. Anyone got the dongles for your Air? Surely i dont have to pay £70 for this device. Any help appreciated.
 
I've got one of Three's basic PAYG dongles (made by Huwuei, I think). Works absolutely flawlessly with our MBA.

It was £40 inc. 3GB of data.

Same here but mine cost slightly more but came with 12GB of data. I found it cheaper online rather directly from 3's website/retail stores.
 
You can get mifis for cheaper than 70 quid. I use one (E586) which works great that I keep in my bag.

Having a dongle sticking out is not ideal I would say.
 
Yeh you can link up to your phone. But im on a sim only contract with 250mb data as i had Ipad 3 with 4g. I dont mind the dongle sticking out, if you buy the premium one for a few quid more you can turn it so it points upwards.
