A guy in Ireland asked me about Mobile Broadband using those USB adapters and he was wondering about charges etc when he travelled into the UK.

I know nothing about it but he mentioned that the adapter takes a sim card like a mobile phone. Whats the best way one could use mobile broadband between Ireland and the UK without getting a hefty charge. Does the sim card reference to the broadband contract taken out?

Is there a PAYG mobile broadband for the Uk that he could use when travelling there?

Cheers

Roaming charges on mobile broadband can be very very high, you need to check which area the Irish service provider count as 'home'. The account and transmitter logged onto will tell the isp whether your roaming or not.

3 network does have most of the best and most flexible deals at the moment..
