As like now when Im at work I use my LG KU990 phone to connect my netbook to the internet as I have 'unlimited' internet access as part of my phone contract.
Although its really only used for browsing the net and the odd e-mail I'm curious about its actual connection speed.
Windows insist that my phone is connected at 460.8Kpbs to 3 (my phone contract) which I though was a bit rubbish tbh. I thought the connection was suppose to be upto around 1.8 meg on HS3G networks ?
Originally I asumed it was just my connection at the time but it appears not. Whether I'm in the centre of London or as now, sitting in a warehouse on the Isle of Wight my connection speed is always the same irrelivant of how strong the high speed signal is.
I though that maybe this is the limitation on my phone, if so, could I buy a pay as you go 3 dongle and just stick my mobile's sim in it when I wanted to browse ?
