Mobile camera question

Hi,

I sometime see pairs of officers by the side of the road with one using a speed gun and the other to point at you to move in to a side road, where an awaiting officer gives you your penalty.

I was wondering, if this is the set up do they HAVE to pull you over if you're found speeding? Why do they do this when bridge camera setups don't?

the guns dont have cameras on them, so they would need to pull you over.

I was doing at least 45 on the speedo so around 40MPH accurate in a 30 zone, the road was long a straight and there was only one other car so I'm either incredibly lucky or they've improved their detection methods and a fine is on its way to me!

they don't have to pull you over but they generally do
