Mobile Core2's now for Sale!

Surely that pricing can't be right? The 2.0Ghz is more expensive than the faster ones?!?

Ah- just seen - different Socket/FSB - is there an easy guide to these kicking around - might be tempted if it's compatible?

Thanks for the heads-up, dont know what happened with that one

They ain't the cheapest thing on earth, but the entry level's ain't too bad considering the increased performance over the old P4 architecture.

Too bad Intel don't see fit to make all sockets universal, make it a damn sight easier to upgrade!

Are these for upgrading notebooks or are there any desktop mainboards available?

There are boards for Socket M and P available, however they might cost a premium and so do the cpus and the performance prolly would not be what you could get with a cheaper LGA775 setup and core 2 cpu, more of a novelty tbh.

Curse the premium for the socket M cpu's! I do intend to get a T7200 soon enough but I better wait till after Christmas to evaluate the funds... :(

Question, what is the deal with the 7250 and the 7300? They look like the same CPU from description... Edit: Just read the cache amount, that'll explain it. 2mb/4mb...

Does anyone know if these are a straight swap for a T2300E?

Generally No :(

from a T2xxx series you can go to a T5xxx or a 667MHz FSB T7xxx series. The T7xxx 800Mhz FSB CPUs require a slighly different socket & generally use the newer 965GM chipset... and guess what the "older" 667MHz T7xxx are mucho more expensive :(

Which is why i've just opted to ditch my T2500 & uATX Gigabyte GA-8I945GMMFY-RH MoDT board and go for a Q6600 & Asus P5E-VM HDMI!!!
