Mobile CPU Comparision

...if you're thinking about the Dothans, i rekon (conservativly) 735 upwards would do it thats (1.6GHz 2MB 400MHz FSB)

P4M would be the same as a Pentium 4 but with speedstep or the like...
The Pentium M's (Centrino platform) will laugh in the face of the Pentium 4's performance wise, their also much better on the batteries. The equivelant of an AMD 2000+ would probably be... A 1.4ghz Pentium M Banias?

Celerons are rubbish, it'd probably be about the same or a little bit worse than the AMD offering, will be more power hungry though. Avoid Celerons!

Either way, none of these chips are particularly good. The Pentium M's are far better as mobile CPU's.

Very good point... the original Athlon Mobile & P4M's were originally designed as desktop CPU's, where as the Pentium M (Dothan & Banias i.e. Centrino platform) was design from the ground up a "Mobile" CPU.

From that generation of processor the AMD equivalent would be the original Turion
