Mobile GPU sockets - Confusion.

I have a Acer Aspire 6530G here (LX.P840X.097) that I'm toying with the idea of boosting the graphics capability of. It's currently using an ATi Mobility Radeon 4570, which I understand to use the MXM type A socket. AMD / ATi themselves are simplifying their product specification (which considering the depth of their spec lists, is unlike them), they claim they all use PCI Express 2.0 (which is round-about true in an unhelpful way). So working out what other GPU's use the same socket is proving hard.

I've looked into possible upgrades along the same product line and found out the 4670 also uses MXM 3.0 type A! Hurrah, so that's pretty much a definite go. The only other I've been able to find is the 4870 which is type B, but I haven't been able to find anything about the 4830 / 4850 Mobility cards. Do either of these cards use MXM Type A? If so, would a laptop built for a "Mainstream" card be able to safely handle a full gaming card? What kind of heat difference would their be under load?

tl;dr : Are the Mobility 4830 / 4850 MXM 3.0 Type A compatible?

Thank you :)

Oh and if you have done similar upgrades in the past and can recommend any good cards that are MXM 3.0 Type A compatible, I'd appreciate the advice!

The "proper" "gaming" grade MXM GPUs usually require a substantial copper heatpipe style cooler rather than the aluminium heat spreader usually found on mainstream MXM laptops.
