Mobile phone holder for your bike?

Thought I'd ask it here since I guess it's pretty similar plus a lot of people here ride bicycles whether they choose to admit it or not

Recently got myself a road bicycle (don't worry, I still pay VED on two vehicles) and one of the things that would be pretty useful is a mobile phone holder for sat nav purposes simply because the routes are different (avoiding major roads). This means firstly they're not signposted as clearly because the signs are there for cars, which tend to use main roads, and secondly there's often several times as many junctions etc which makes it impractical to remember a route you've not done before.

I can't seem to find a mobile phone holder that clamps onto the handlebars in a way that inspires me with confidence, if I'm hitting potholes at 25mph getting shaken to bits I don't want my several hundred pound phone to get dislodged.

It's a Note 2 if that's any help, can anyone recommend a decent phone holder? Waterproof isn't that much of an issue really and my next phone will likely be IPx7 rated anyway.

I've got a cheap eBay one for my bike and it works well enough but this company keep popping up in my Facebook adverts and their product looks nicely designed

TBH, my mobile holder is called a 'pocket'.
I'd be too worried about stones or other road crap getting kicked up by passing vehicles and shattering the screen, especially something as pricey as a Note (it cost far more than my 2nd hand Desire Z)!!

I do have a TomTom Rider2, but that usually gets stowed and I merely listen to the instructions over a Bluetooth headset. Should probably work the same with a pocketed phone and earphones, no...?

Thanks for the suggestions, I might give that headphones + voice directions a try, I don't normally use voice at all on sat nav so it may take some adjustment for me to understand it properly

It looks like that quadlock case isn't really available for the Note 2 and I'm not convinced by something I stick to the back of my phone in the case of the universal one.

The eBay one looks good although it's hard to know how good it is without trying.

It takes a few rides, to be sure. It's perhaps a bit easier for bikers, as our lessons come from an instructor on the radio.
Ultimately, I prefer the occasional sound directions and eyes fully on the road.

Ended up buying that one linked to on eBay.. not really fancying the idea of wearing earphones while cycling cause they'll just fall out at inconvenient times, headphones because they'll block out sound a bit too much I reckon, or a bluetooth handsfree earpiece because it gets uncomfortable if I wear it for several hours in the car and that'll be magnified many times when moving my head around on a bike. However will treat that as a backup option for the future!
