mobile phone insurance

I recently bought a new handset from currys. It was quite expensive so I want to get insurance on the phone.

I can't do it via bank and home insurance is not worth it as cover. Go compare is giving me an option called Freshcover gadget insurance with excess £125 for accidental damage, theft etc

Anyone have any tips on best place to get insurance for mobiles?

You can usually have it as an extra premium feature with some bank accounts, like Monzo etc? don't know if you already potentially have that so may have missed that additional perk you have access to.

I have looked into mobile phone insurance, and even if the handset is £1000, I found that the insurance rates are extortionate with respect to the handset's worth. It's best to take it out on home insurance as an add-on where it insures items that you carry around with you e.g. laptop and glasses.
