Mobile phone (usb mass storage) problem

when I connect my phone to the computer though USB sometimes it finds it sometimes it doesn't. Other time sit finds it and when you start copying stuff across it stops and shows as a drive with zero memory and no folder or files in the memory card.

I've searched google and seems to be a commonish problem with all usb mass storage devices but what's the problem and more importantly how to cure i.

Tried a different USB port? Tried a USB hub (or tried removing it if you're already using one)?

run windows update if you dont already, there's a lot of updates that update usbstor.sys

fully updated. Can some one email me the usbstor.sys file found in Windows\system32\drivers on a xp system that is known to read usb drives/phones with no problems.

I have also tried using different usb ports to no avail.

backup your files first..

those are all the files in that folder called usb*, probably need a restart and WFP off
