Mobile stylesheet tips

I have an admin section for a website which I would like to create a specific stylesheet for mobile devices, mainly compatible with iPhones as the users will be accessing through this.

Are there any tips and tweaks specifically for the creation of mobile stylesheets as this is my first go at doing something like this?

This will get you started for the iPhone, then adapt it for other devices.

There is also iui which is a library for making websites look and behave like iPhone applications, you can get it from http://code.google.com/p/iui/. It is iPhone specific though so it probably won't work on other devices.

the iphone browser is generally pretty good. have you checked to see what it looks like without a special stylesheet?

I have checked the current layout on the iPhone, but I think the navigation can be better tweaked and improved for use on a mobile device.

The main navigation on standard browsers is link based with the main pages featuring mostly text input for a content managed system. Ideally I'm looking to remove the link navigation and replace it with something like the iui library mentioned above. The 5 admin users have iPhones so it not working on other devices isn't much of an issue at this stage.

I would recommend jQTouch over iui these days.
