Anyone ever had an issue where a person could not dial your mobile?

I was expecting a phone call regarding a possible job yesterday (all communication to day was via email), and it turns out that the people calling me were unable to get though to my Vodafone mobile ... now the phone works fine (and I have used it yesterday and today)...

Anyone ever heard of stuff like this happening?

That sometimes happens with my O2 phone, someone will call and it will just go strait to voice mail. I got a new phone today so I'll see if it stops.

Thing is, this didn't even go to voicemail it simply refused to connect period (from what the HR person told me)

In my experience with certain office staff, this could be anything from them dialing the wrong number to holding the handset the wrong way around :D

Well there is that yes, but this is an IT company working with some of the big names in the game industry, so I would hope their head of QA can use the phone

I've had this loads recently - I'm also with Vodafone. The caller selects me from their address book, then hits the dial button. They never get a ringing tone, but eventually drop back to the home screen of the phone.

Missed calls from callers on O2, T-mob and Vodafone. When this is happenning, I also find I get exactly the sympton dialing out, ie the call fails to get set up properly and just drops back to the desktop.

It's extremely annoying for me as it's intermittant - and I'm also looking for a job as out of work. I will be switching networks when my contract is up as Vodafone support on this issue has been pretty useless.

EDIT: You'll know when it's exactly the same issue as the caller won't be put through to voice mail. When I know I'm likely to receive a call, I keep dialing my voicemail to make sure the network is actually allowing me to place and receive calls.

Cheers for that, look slike I may well end up following my Dad to O2 after sticking with Voda for the past few years when my contract is up this summer.
