I tried it, but without a wifi cloud or 3g its useless.

Also if you dont twitter or facebook much, again its useless.

So basically a 'different' version of Chrome OS. Still could be good for what most people use netbooks for... is Jollicloud just more of the same?

As much as I have read, yes.

I'm gonna sell my netbook to me dad as I simply don't use it. I have a 13" macbook which is portable so the netbook doesnt get used.

This isn't new, its been about since before Chrome OS was announced.

Its was an Intel thing though it doesn't say anywhere on the site. The Netbook remix version of Ubuntu is or will be based off it.
