Mobo 8 Pin power connector confusion....

Hey everyone, i went to plug my 8 pin CPU power connector into my PSU tonight and was greeted with this.....

Both my Mobo (Gryphon z87) and PSU (Corsair RM750) have the same port yet the cable is different on both ends. One end fits both PSU and Mobo and one end fits neither! Thanks everyone, any feedback would be totally appreciated - Adam

so both ends are the same as the one in your hand? the one in your hand is for the mobo end

Sorry for not being clear, my mobo port is the same as my psu port so it's

One end of my cable fits this layout so I plugged that end into my mobo, the other end is
