Mobo Advice please

Hi guys,

I have a secondary machine that I'd like to hopefully just get another mobo for and all will fit and be well.

The rig has:

Processor - Athlon XP 2000
Mobo - ASUS A7V333
Memory - 1 gig
HDD - 80 gig ATA

I am after advice on a PCI-E mobo for <50 that I can plug the current hardware into and then be able to run a GT 6800 that I have doing nothing, which will then hopefully make games a little smoother

If I can get a suitable mobo and a processor in a bundle for as cheap as possibly that would work too, but at the mo I am hoping I can get a new mobo, plumb in the 6800 GT and get a good boost in performance.

Any help appreciated.

Your limited really as all the AM2 Boards are DDR2 but this would do the trick.

Along with a X2 3800+ you will have the upgrade for less than £100

Will the current AMD Athlon 2000XP chip fit on there, until I can afford to get the new chip?
