Hi guys,

Current spec..
AMD 550 @ 3.6ghz 18X multi & Tuniq Tower 120
Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H rev1.1
4gb DDR2 Kingston HyperX pc6400
X-fi Gamer
HX620
M225 64gb
150gb velociraptor

Am after a new motherboard and some DDR3 to go with my AMD 550 that I already have and would like your thoughts on the 2 I am looking at. I do intend having a play at overclocking and core unlocking.

G.Skill Ripjaw (ok for i5 aswell?)

Gigabyte GA-MA785GT-UD3H

Was also going to get Asus Xonar DX 7.1 PCI-Express Sound Card to replace my X-fi.

Any thoughts and will the memory be suitable??
Thanks.

I'm currently running..

Gigabyte MA770T-UDP3
AMD BE 550 (unlocked to 4 cores and all at 3.6Ghz)
G-Skill 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1600MHz/PC3-12800 Ripjaw Memory Kit CL7(7-8-7-24) 1.65V

Works fine for me, I had to manually set the voltage and timings for 1600Mhz but it's passed everything I've thrown at it so far.

I can't say that these components are better or worse than anything else, I've nowt to compare them with but I can tell you that they work together fine. Easiest build and overclock I've ever done. :)

ok thanks TbirdX. I went with that motherboard as it has onboard graphics and I dont need anything better.
