Mobo and GPU will these work and what GPU?

it should work fine with any card, unless gigabyte are told about the issue then its always gonna be there,i havnt come across any problems so far other than one with a titan gpu and x79 gigabyte board but that was easily fixed with the latest beta bios

it can only be a bios issue imo

beta bios's wont be on gigabytes site

heres the latest beta bios for the x79 up4

http://www.mediafire.com/?8j3clrhotzgvx9c f3t beta

to update bios you need a usb stick formatted to fat32,extract the files from the above and put them on the memory stick, bootup pc with stick plugged in and press end at gigabyte splash screen to enter qflash, then follow onscreen guide and update the bios

remember, flashing the bios will rset any oc/bios settings so make a note of them beforehand or take screenshots with usb stick installed and press f12 for each bios page

for a blind flash with no gpu installed you could try pressing end then enter and enter again with just the memory stick and bios attached

EDIT: also try with dvi/vga/hdmi cables if your monitor supports them, chances are it will display a picture on one/all of those three ports

What you said here about the oc/bios settings being reset, i have just got everything out of the box none of it is oc or anything so will i be safe to just do the beta update?

yeah, its end then enter and enter

then allow a good few minutes for it to update, thats if it will work, ive never tried it myself

would the screen turn on after that or would i need to reboot it? if it works that is also should i leave a little delay like, Delete wait 10 seconds, enter wait 10 enter?

Thanks for the reply?

leave about 5 minutes just to make 100% sure its flashed,if you turn off the pc mid flash it will brick/wreck your bios and will need rma

@tw sponge that's the old style bios, uefi bios is different on newer gigabyte boards

I no this prob sounds really stupid i just want to be 100% certain, so press delete when you turn on computer, at what point? then wait 5min, then press enter, then wait 5min then enter?

Thanks,
Lucas.

I would have RMAd the board if you tried it and it didnt work never mind changing GFX card there seems to be more of a problem with the board never mind the GFX card
