I wish to connect both my headset and speakers to the rear audio ports of my computer. I plug the headset in the green socket and the mic in the pink. I then connected my speakers to the blue jack and selected it as a line out connection. The only problem is that its does not have the speakers and headset as two separate devices, and only plays out of one at once, is there any way to get the computer to recognise both so I can switch them at will?

I have an MSI GD53 board.

Thanks,
Smithy

You could try one of these:

Or one of these:

(They both do the same thing)

It's called a '1/4 jack splitter' just make sure it's 1 male to 2 female and not the otherway around.

This won't do exactly what you want, as you won't be able to switch between the two, it will constantly come out of both. It's an option though.
