Mobo Battery?

The clock on my mates PC on the taskbar only stays correct for a couple of days. He then has to reset it. Could this be a faulty Battery on the mobo? If so, where can they be bought? Ta

Yep could easily be the battery.

For sale in lots of places. Local chemist, photo shop, watch battery resellers e.t.c.

Check the motherboard manual, or just have a look at the battery on the motherboard. It's one of does round flat ones (coin shape).

also depends on how old the motherboard is as some of the earlier ones didn't use the watch type batteries

I actually took one out of an old mobo a few days ago as it is also the type of battery used in my sons Tamagotchi believe it or not!

Just incase your supplier lets you down. I see that Wilkinsons are doing a 2 pack of these batteries for £1.50.

Hope they arent classed as a competitor?
