Mobo broke?

Ok went to restart my PC and now it wont turn back on, keyboard lights dont come on, mouse lights and the monitor is not picking anything up. When I hit the power button all the fans in the case (cpu, case fan etc) start spinning, the case lights are on, the mobo power led is on etc

There is no beep from the mobo (asus p5k), ive removed the GFX card to see if I can get the beep sequence for that been missing but no beeps there either.

Has the mobo broke or does something just need changing? It was working absolutely fine before i went for a restart.

Just checking... you didn't flash the BIOS from Windows or anything did you?

Nope didnt do anything before the restart

Try taking the memory out, cleaning the slots and reseating them. Also, reset the BIOS.

( Take the battery out from the motherboard. Remove power cable and press the power switch on the case).

Hope that sorts it out.

That has sorted it; guess just taking the battery out wasn't enough first time round. Thanks!
