Mobo, CPU and ram advice

Hi currently running 2 x58 mobo systems with Xeon x5670 chips @4ghz for my kids. One system runs mostly ok, the other is more unstable using the same bios and oc settings.

With the amount of use due to homeschooling I’m thinking about upgrading mobo, cpu and ram on both machines. Don’t really want to spend much more that £400 per machine.

Both systems have solid power supplies, good gfx cards 1070ti and 980ti and SSD’s.

I’ve been intel for years but I’m looking for bang for buck. My daughter does digital art on her PC and has an Oculus cv1, my son plays LOL, GTAV and other online gaming.

Any advice gratefully received.

TIA

If wanting most bang per buck would be better to wait few months when improved architecture Zen3 should be released.
Though MSI B450 boards will get Zen3 support later and you could upgrade CPU again in couple years when Zen3s go into discount.

Not sure it's worthwhile for £800, given the usage. If you can pick up a 3700X for £130 like the 2700 was when Zen 2 came out, then that'd tempt me.
