mobo dead?

hello everyone,

I did a case swap and now mypc is dead all i get is the power led and turbo key 2 led flashing on an asus m4a88td-v evo usb3.I have dun everything i know of and followed suggestions from everywhere else.can any one help me shed some light on this.

Hello and welcome to the forum :)

I assume you have tried the following:

Removed all ram bar one memory module.
Reset the CMOS
Rechecked all connections are tight and the 8 or 4 pin for cpu is connected.
Check the power switch on the new case is operational.

Retry external to the case to rule out possible shorting issue.

what would i place the mobo on when running outside the case?and i have tried your recommendations.

Have you tried running it out of the new case as suggested? you can just put it on a cardboard box or a table or something - anywhere that isn't conductive. This will tell you if it's a physical problem with the installation into the case, or something hardware related.

Just after doing that now mate,still no joy just the mobo and turbokey 2 led's flashing.
