Mobo driver disk not loading.

Did a clean reinstall of Windows 10 and for some reason the driver disk for the Gigabyte Aurous B450 will not load, it appears on screen then disappears.
Downloaded the chipset drivers and all seems to be working. The disk loads just fine on another PC with the same mobo so this is a bit of a puzzle.

Why would you want to use the CD drivers that are old now?

You did the right thing the second attempt.

Because the disk has all the drivers in one place and if I go to the driver website I invariably have a long and confusing list to choose from which is not what I want to see.
But that aside your response hardly addressed my issue?

Well I will know not to even bother next time.

EDIT:

1) Dirty CD Drive laser lens so not reading CD correctly on one PC unless same drive for both as external

2) Mobo Revision (doubtful)

At end of the day it works now so do not loose sleep over it.

Stick them on a USB Stick instead of a DVD

Windows 10 does a good job itself of finding and installing drivers. Only drivers I manually bother installing for the motherboard is the chipset driver, and maybe the network driver.

What disk reader are you using? Is it the same one for the other PC you tested with? SATA or USB?

Bog standard external drive and the disk loads perfectly my other PC. The only thing I can think of is obviously with two mobs I should have two mobo driver disks but one has disappeared I do not know if that has any bearing but I would not have thought so, B450 Auros M driver disk will be the same for both boards?

Might have something to do with that BIOS might be handling USB devices differently than SATA optical.

Anyway never have had any use for that bundled disk with usually every driver on it obsolete.

To be honest it is the puzzle of why it does not that interests me. I have office on a disk and that installed OK.
