mobo for a i5 2500 cpu

Hi i think ive got myself a little confused
I have at the moment a intel i5 2500k cpu and a asrock z68 por 3 mobo ,

And was looking to buy a new SSD drive [maybe one of the new kingston x 256]

But there sata 3 and i think my board is sata2 ,

So was thinking of upgrading the board to something better [and a decent upgrade]

Could anyone advice please .

Your board does have SATAIII ports.

They are the White ones.

Is there any particular reason to change the board besides you thinking it only had SATAII?

Your board has 2 SATA 3 ports, I think they are the white ones.
