mobo for the 950

Im going to grab myself a 950 on the thisweek only thingy

Is the ud3r on offer any good for clocking? or another suggestion?
ideally not more than 250

i already have 3x2gb dominator ram so i just need board and chippy

For an x58 board you wont go wrong with a gigabyte or an asus, the ud3r you mentioned is a great board. As an alternative you could consider the Asus p6x58d-e.

Either of the above boards will happily clock your cpu, just depends on what manufacturer you prefer.

Both good boards, but the asus will run cooler, due to better 16+2 phase power, But both will clock just aswell as each other.

Both boards are pretty similar and in this instance the Gigabyte board gets my vote. Just like their X58 and P55 series motherboards plus the outstanding service I get from Gigabyte UK is an added plus of course.

Really depends on how far you wanna overclock, and how high the bclk u want, as i know the ud3r max's out at like 210/215, where as the asus will hit 225+ without breaking a sweat.

Iv had mine at 226 blck, without even pushing it, worth considering. But it all depends on how you want to clock, multi wise i mean, and how far u want to go.

But as stated both will get you to 4ghz with no issues at all.
