Behind you... Naked!
My playabout Linux PC is this :-

Gigabyte MA78G-S2H
AMD X2 7750
4x1GB Geil 6400
XFX 8800GS
XFI ExtremeMusic ( But currently using OnBoard )

Now, I have been toying with ubuntu for quite a while on this, I have had 10.4LTS with all the compiz EyeCandy and its been fairly much ok. I upgraded via the downloadable updates to v11, I then got rid of that unity or whatever the hell it is and went back to gnome classic, however I then saw that the window manager was starting to play up.

I could no noger see the main bar at the top of windows.

Now, its my mess about box and I have no data on it as such, so I thought Id just re-do it with installing Ubuntu 11 from the disk instead, so I did that and it sis the same. It also did the same with MiNT 11 and hells bells, even Sabayon 5.5 does the same. Now, my main Linux box is using Sabayon 5.5 and thats never given me a single hiccup.

Anyway, in doing my usual rounds of playing about, I decided to back to my humble beginnings and I have gone back to Mandrake. or Mandriva now of course, and I used that for a while and so far, its been ok, but then last night, I started to get one irritating niggle that may or may not be related, but I have lots of trouble trying to move windows about, I cannot close them or use any of the widgets in the windows, nor can I use the menus either.

The only way that I can quit that app is the ALT-F4 way, and the Menus in Gnome itself can now be accessed.

So, Im unable to use Mandriva properly either?

Now, as a trial I thought... Hang on, it could be the graphics... Lets completely get around any chances of that by using the onboard ATI Graphics and it does the same thing on that too, so its not the graphics.

Im lost really.

I have a similar board to this, the MA78G-DS3 thats my ( Non Serving ) Server and I am 50-50 on swapping boards over at least just as a temporary trial.

Anyway, anyone have any clues?
