MOBO into CASE QUESTIONS?

Hello, I have my MOBO attatched to the case etc but I have a few questions:

CASE - CORASIR 400R
MOBO - ASROCK Z77 EXTREME 4

The mobo has a slot that says USB 3.0 header, I assumed I plug the USB wire into there as the case has USB 3.0 but I still have the USB 3.0 to 2.0 adapter, will I not need this?

on the SATA connectors it has a sticker on top of three of the slots saying "For better performance and short boot up time we suggest you connect the HDD on SATA port 0-5 as boot device" which port is this as the manual says the two SATA3 GRAY ones are named SATA3_A0_A1 GRAY and SATA3_0_1 GRAY, the other two are SATA 2 and black so assume i dont use them. So which sata port do I connect the HDD to?

In regards to the usb part of the question connect the hdd into the sata 3 port (i'm assuming you have a sata 3 hdd)
and the motherboard part just plug the usb 3.0 cable from your case into the port on the motherboard.

Use the SATA3_0_1 ones as they're Intel.

With a HDD it wouldn't really matter if you used one of the SATA 2 ports.

You can then disable the ASMedia SATA controller as it doesn't seem like you need it.

If you ever get a SATA 3 SSD then SATA3_0_1 are 100% the ones you should use.

OK thanks, one more thing where should I plug in the rear case fan, I was going to plug it into the connector named chassis fan connector (CHA_FAN1) but it was 4 pin and the cable is 3 pin so I put it in (CHA_FAN2) which was 3 pin, is this right?

Yep be fine, the 3 pin will go into the 4 pin without issue, you will have one pin unused.

also I have a question about the two SATA cables that came with my MOBO, is there a difference between the two or are they the same as one has end that is curved 90 degrees?

also do I need to push hard into the optical drive and HDD as the cables don't seem to fit and yes I am aligning it to the L shaped notch?
