Mobo keeps going to default...?

Hi guys,

Twice now I have felt a drop in performance in the space of two weeks and then soon realise that my settings in bios are reset and I don't know why this keeps happening...

I have tested using Linx and tempretures are fine, I am new to OCing so I'm guessing I am missing something.

Spec = Gigabyte x58a-ud3r with i7 920 @ 3.8 oc'd with H50 cooler (Antec 902 Case)

Any ideas?

It sounds like your OC is occasionally failing when the system is switched on and is reverting back to default settings - fail safe feature.

Try dropping 200MHz off your clock to test if it rectifies the problem. If it does you'll know you need to tweak your 3.8GHz BIOS settings.

how old is the mobo???

I'd replace the bios battery as well just to be safe.
