new build gigabyte DS3 but my psu,s keep dying on my 3rd now in 24 hours can a mobo kill a psu?
1. tagan 580 modular dies within 10 hours but will run a different pc no problems yet it wont even post my ds3
2. bought a 570 watt dual rail (+12v 30 amp ) cheapo psu to get me going until my corsair 620 arrives but again dies within 10 hours yet runs other pc,s fine
3. had some no name 400 watt psu lying around thought i *** try it so i did and yo ho it booted into bios just useing a pci card and no drives plugged in yet tried it an hour later with my bfg 8800gtx plugged in amazed to see that even posted..yet an hour later with just a pci card plugged in wont post at all yet will run other pc,s
ok these other pc,s are only p4,s with 2 drives and a 1.6 cpu but still they run fine yet not one of thse psu,s will even post my bare bones ds3..
when the pc was running I did have a brand new BFG 8800GTX in it as well which only arrived that day same day as mobo arrived, which like I said ran fine for a few hours with tagan and the cheapo 570 watt psu, only was getting artifacts in rainbow six las vegas almost right away chequred screens etc all diff colours even had artifacts in bios screen after a soft boot could that be psu related?, yet sometimes would run for an hour or so but ran 3dmark fine until it fell over
so am I being paranoid ..or is this mobo dodgy or just an unlucky set of events which is psu related?
