I've been collecting parts for my first build over the past few months I finally got round to assembling it with no problems but when i turned it on i got nothing through the monitor the fans spin, hdd, dvdrw fine etc couple of LEDs on the mobo but nothing through the monitor, i double checked the connections etc everything seems fine? After looking through the troubleshooting section it would seem i have a faulty motherboard however i bought it off overclockers and was very careful with it ive been grounded and carefully fitted everything onto it and gently onto the standoffs so unless they sent me a faulty mobo which i doubt, its got to be my processor? am i right and how can i check it? Any advise would be much appreciated im devestated its not working :(! thanks

Take out the graphics card, only have the on-board plugged in. Check for any physical switches on the motherboard that determins is PCI-e or on-board is used first.

Take out CMOS battery and hold the power button for 15 seconds, place battery back in. Boot up.

See if that helps!
