I have made a spec for a budget PC for a friend and just wanted to check there was no issues with the memory on this particular mobo - where I am ordering it from pretty much only has corsair stuff lol, I have included the manufacturer code incase this helps.

Asrock 4CoreDual-VSTA VIA PT880 Ultra, S775, AGP / PCI-E, DDR ** Please see Tech specs ** £32.49 £38.18

Intel Pentium Dual-Core E2160, S775, 1.8 GHz, 800MHz FSB, Allendale Core, 2x 512KB Cache, Retail £48.89 £57.45

2GB (2x1GB) CorsairTwinX XMS2, DDR2 PC2-6400 (800), 240 Pins, Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 5-5-5-12 £59.64 £70.08 - Manufacturer code TWIN2X2048-6400

Antec Sonata II Case in Piano Black with 450w aPFC PSU £57.28 £67.30

256MB MSI 8600GT, PCI-E (x16), Mem 1400 MHz, GDDR2, GPU 540 MHz, 2x Dual Link DVI-I/HDTV £68.15 £80.08 - Passivly cooled - he doesn't want a noisy PC.

Total Inc Del: £325.20

He already has a 200gb Seagate 8mb cache PATA drive which I think will probably be fine for now.

Hope someone can help :)

Nope. Also I note the mobo only supports up to 667mhz but it should just declock the 800 to 667.

I would go for a AMD System to be honest. Something like the AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 3800+ 2.00GHz or even the AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4200+ 2.20GHz which is faster than the E2160.

He wants a Core 2 Duo, before this turns in to a AMD vs Intel thread can we stick to the question in hand. Is the mobo and ram I specified fine, are there any issues with this ram and this board?
